Join us in celebrating World Maths Day! Too Small to Fail and Abriendo Puertas is offering a free webinar highlighting the importance of family math and sharing new resources for community providers!
Babies doing math? That’s right! The roots of early math skills begin developing from birth, through babies’ everyday play and interactions with their parents and caregivers. These early math skills have a big impact on children’s school readiness. In fact, research has found that a strong understanding of early math concepts predicts both a child’s future math and literacy skills. The great news is that math is all around us and families can find fun ways to engage in math activities together anytime, anywhere!
Too Small to Fail and Abriendo Puertas will host a webinar to unveil new early math resources for families and community providers that highlight simple opportunities to engage children in early math activities and conversations through their daily routines. This parent-reviewed English and Spanish content includes family handouts, videos modeling age-appropriate early math activities, posters, a comprehensive guide, and interactive web page.
